National Supermarket Chain

National Electrical Switchboard Upgrade

We upgraded electrical switchboards in over 50 supermarkets nationwide with minimal impact to business.

Client Name: A leading supermarket chain

Location: Nationwide

Project Value: $6 million

Start Date: February 2016

Completion Date: Ongoing

A leading supermarket chain came to us because their electrical switchboards were reaching the end of their lifecycle and needed to be replaced. Our first job was to individually assess the requirements at each store location across the country, from Karratha and Ayr to Rowville and Burnside. With our nationwide team of highly trained professionals, we were able to conduct assessments and price jobs consistently, working concurrently in multiple states.

Once requirements were agreed upon with the client, we provided them with designs for the most effective custom-made electrical switchboard and electrical distribution boards, tailored to the individual needs of each store. Through our in-house engineering capabilities, we suggested technological innovations and cost saving strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.

Our Electrical Services and Manufacturing divisions worked hand in hand to produce superior quality electrical switchboards in Australia, giving our client a single point of contact, saving time and ensuring smooth delivery.

We then collaborated with the client to plan an intricate staging process where electrical switchboards could be removed and replaced with minimal disruption to business. This needed to be precise to coincide with trading hours – some stores being open 24 hours. Our site crews prepared the sites by installing temporary generators and electrical switchboards to ensure constant power supply for lighting and refrigeration.

Our nationwide team of electricians and electrical fitters then carried out installations consistently, efficiently and to the highest quality and safety standards. As a result of this successful project, the risk of power outages at our client’s supermarkets is now significant reduced.
