Trivantage has an ongoing commitment to Occupational Health and Safety including the Environment which recognises the positive influence that a Managed Occupational Health, Safety and Environment System provides.

 

Its Systematic approach generates Continuous Improvement with the aim of exceeding its moral, legal and economic obligations to reduce its Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Risk to a minimum acceptable level.

 

In achieving this level the Objectives of the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Systems are:

 

  • To promote and secure the Safety, Health and Welfare of persons employed by Trivantage and by location may be affected by its operations.
  • To identify areas of risk at the project planning stage and to introduce strategies to eliminate and/or control them.
  • To provide a Safe System of work.
  • To define areas of responsibility.
  • To reduce, eliminate and control the hazards to which persons are exposed to
  • To conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with the Safety Management Plan.
  • To provide information, instruction, training and supervision to all employees as is necessary to enable them to carry out their work.
  • To foster co-operation and consultation and participation of both employee and employer in the formulation and implementation of Safety Health and the Environment Standards.

 

With the above Objectives the goal of Trivantage is to reduce its Accident/Incident rate by reducing the exposure to Risk to “As low as is reasonably practicable”

 

The key elements that have been identified as being crucial to ensuring the achievements of the goal are:

 

  • The setting of achievable standards.
  • Strong emphasis on Continuous Improvement action plans.
  • Consultation at all levels with a pro-active approach to team work.
  • The development of Safe Work Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures.
  • The conducting of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Programs.
  • The constant monitoring/auditing of projects and associated work areas including the Environment.
  • Effective Training Programs including New and Transferee Inductions.
